Native Americans Move into Golf Business

At a time of great societal change in attitudes towards African-Americans and Native Americans, I wanted to share one of my more memorable stories as a Staff Business Writer for Golfweek magazine.

This story, dated June 1, 2002, highlighted the fascinating growth in golf course construction - and overall resort real estate development - by various tribes of Native Americans from coast to coast. Of course, casinos were as much a part of this growing new landscape where legal.

Please enjoy this read down memory lane.
